Teacher Alysha Saneholtz

Alysha Saneholtz is our 8^th grade Language Arts teacher/Technology Elective teacher but that's not all she does for our school!

·         Member of District Technology Committee

·         Academic Boosters secretary which includes after school activities such as Cosmic Bowling, Second Grade Reading Night, Walk-a-Thon, etc.

·         Athletic Boosters – program coordinator and designer

·         Jr. High Fellowship of Christian Athletes huddle leader

·         Gradebook trainer and liason for staff members

·         Member of Master Teacher evaluation committee

·         Served on Ohio District and Building Leadership Teams

·         Member of Short Cycle Assessment Creation team – focus on Reading

·         Member and participant of the Classroom Assessment for Student Learning small group book study

·         Served as mentor for several entry year teachers

·         Taught Social Studies and Language Arts HQT graduate classes in Dayton, Ohio for 5 years

·         Provide one-on-one tutoring to students after school with focus to increase Reading Achievement Test scores

Solo and Ensemble Results

Montpelier High School showed EXTREMELY well yesterday at Solo and Ensemble contest.  All Montpelier solos and ensembles earned either a first division (I) superior rating or a second division (II) excellent rating. 

Here are the details of how we fared:

Gretchen Weger (Class A)– Soprano Solo – I

Katelynn York (Class B)– Soprano Solo – I

Locomotion (Class B) – Chamber Ensemble – I

Montpelier Saxophone Trio (Kaley Adams, Martine Ortega, Cody Bolen) – I (B)

We have a great deal to be proud of; many schools did not fare anywhere nearly as well and this is the best showing Montpelier has had in three years!
